Bible in a Year Programmes

Jonathan has challenged us to read the entire Bible systematically in one year. That is read 66 books in 365 days. No one has laid down how this should be done and there are several ways in which to do it. This page gives links to web sites that help you to read the entire Bible in one year. For those who wish to take it more slowly they can be adapted to spread over two or three years.

You are recommended to keep a tick sheet or list, ticking off each chapter read, so that when you miss a day, as you surely will, you can keep track. The spreadsheet can be used to do that. Seeing the evergrowing number of ticked off boxes will encourage you when you go through a difficult patch.

Spreadsheet Plan - A spreadsheet that can be used to calculate the reading for each day and can produce a chart to tick off each chapter as you read it. Can also be printed on a single sheet of A4 if your printer can print four pages to one sheet.

One Year Bible OnLine - Each day contains passages from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs.

Bible Study Tools Bible In A Year - Gives each day's readings in full online. Also available in book form. Can be started any day. Keeps track of your progress.

Bible In A Year by Email - This free service will email you with your readings for each day. Can be started any day in the year. Three reading schedules are available including reading the events in chronological order.

Christian Answers Bible Reading Plan (also 3 year version) - This one year plan gives you readings from The Law, History, Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy, Gospels and Epistles covering the seven types of books each week. An easy plan to printout and tuck in your Bible. The three year version just goes straight through the Bible.

Yearly Bible Read-Through - Each day contains passages from the Old Testament, the New Testament and Psalms (or a minor prophet).

Progress Tracker - This web page, written by Richard Wiseman, will enable you to keep a track of how far you have got. Note: To use it you must always use the same computer to look at it and have 'Cookies enabled'.
